ABOUT ME

Well we're happy married couple.
Me: I enjoy a good intellectual conversasion, I appreciate a good laugh/joke:) love to have good time, passionate about music ranging from Jazz to Electronic Music, open minded, love traveling and meeting people from around the globe. I have many friends from all over. I also like to cook and make great tea.
Fatima: I enjoy working out, doing outdoor activities like hiking and camping. I love spending time with Ahmed and we both like to have a good time. Also, I enjoy cooking some traditioal Syrian and Iraqi food. I love music especially Arabic.

PHILOSOPHY

have fun in life but don't abuse it. be kind to others and respect everything around you even the rock that you step on every now and then. Understand that you're not better than others because of your color, nationality, political affiliation and religion. One's character is built out of experiences that the person has witnessed. Be cool and groovey but also respectful of those who opose your views because honest differences are a healthy sign of progress :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My appartment is available for respectful travelers who are passing by NY and need a couch to crash on. I live an hour away from NYC or about 45 minute train ride to Grand Central station. I would like to be more involved in volunteer work when I get a break from work, travel and meet other cool folks, and learn more about the Big Apple and what it's got to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've attended few monthly and weekely meetings for local CSers. I'm in touch with few members whom I see and get together with to have a good time. I love the fact that this community has been quite generous. I'ved surfed a few times and went on trips with other CSers. I also hosted a couple of events in my city and house where few CSers came out and had a blast.

Interests

I like to work out, play some guitar, DJing with friends, traveling, spending time with family and friend, reading the news and self interest books, snowboarding, and camping. I'm a big fan of local coffee shop and pub culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fillm: all the Quintin Tarantino films. I do enjoy independent and international films as well.
Music: Jazz, Jam, house and it's variations, classic rock (Jimi Hendrix is my idol), Phish is cool too, hip hop, some rap, the blues, funk:)
Books: sociology, non-fiction, political science, business and psychology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

visited Madrid, Ibiza, and Morocco in one trip. Burning Man 2010.
I've visited few boarder cities in Mexico since I used to live in San Diego.

I've been to few states: all over Calif of course, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Washington, DC, Maryland, Texas, Luisiana, North Carolina, Chicago, Connecticut and now NY.

I guess to me all that is amzaing.

Be all you can be but always be nice to others :)
Educate ignorant ones instead of hating them.
Don’t through cigarette butts on the ground.
Dance if you can.
Share a good laugh but be courteous.
Drink two cups of water the minute you wake up :)
