Hey! I'm Amjad, and I'm new to this. I play guitar and ukulele. I'm also a singer/songwriter. I'm very passionate about food and art. I have big dreams that I'm out to achieve. I get inspired by a lot of things: nature, old buildings, architecture, history and people! I love to spread positive energy around . I joke a lot because I find joy in people's laughter.
I'm always up for discovering the kindness of people from all over the world! I'm also obsessed with experiencing as many cultures as I can. From food to architecture to languages! I believe the earth is so huge yet can seem so small if we make the right connections. Countries have had so many memories of hate and war with each-other but I don't want that to define my mindset. I feel like it is a duty for everyone to be able to make as many connections with people from all over the world, and that would be a huge step to achieving the almost impossible "world peace".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have such a long list. First, I want to prove to myself and my family that people can be kind no matter where they come from. Language and border barriers are just there and they do not change the fact that we all come from the same place and we're all human.
Second, I feel like people in my country travel for the sake of the luxury, and they do it just for social media or for the sake of traveling, and with that, they never really "travel"! The best way to travel to a country is to see it from a local's point of view. The local travel experience in my opinion is worth so much more than the fancy "luxurious" travel experience.
Third, I am still so young and I feel like my eyes are just starting to open to see the world, and there is so much I still can't see and can't know, so I believe being on couchsurfing, engaging with people in cultural exchange, seeing their experiences, sharing mine, seeing how they think and spend their lives, will all help open my eyes even more to the world, to the reality! I believe it will help me able to get out of the routine life that I've grown up to think that I will be living for the rest of my life . I want to mature and grow more and more from this :)

In love with Lorde,mashrou' leila, panic! At the disco, the nbhd, the 1975, fairouz, daughter, the lumineers, nothing but thieves, Adonis, Jaymes Young, Taylor Swift, Adele. as well as many others. Any type of music that would make me feel something!
Movies: La La Land, Lady Bird, Call me by your name, the sound of music, notting hill, Brooklyn, Inception AAA THE LIST DOESNT END!
Books: not much of a bookworm, trying to find some time to dive into books though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done in my opinion is being able to break out of my shell and see the world for myself, unlearning anything wrong I might have learned growing up and improving myself as a whole. Oh, and I also released a song that made it to the top charts recently and got over 130,000 streams :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to share some of the music I've written,or maybe use my mediocre cooking skills. I can also show them how I write music and how I learned the ukulele without having a ukulele at the age of 14.
