ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly, naive and curious girl, 25 years old. I grew up in the beautiful city of Bruges, which I still adore as a place to spend time. I like listening to music, trying to sew and being creative, going to concerts or just seeing friends. Almost three years ago, I started working (at VDS, a youthwork organisation for animated playgrounds).. I love my job, it gives me a lot of challenges.
Besides that, I like travelling a lot. It's a great thing to discover new places and people and I enjoyed that several times the last years. Making travel plans is a thing I do continuosly :-) And couchsurfing is a way to bring the world right to my mind!

I would like to host people in Ghent. When I find the time, I also like to guide guests around, have a drink or dinner in the city..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience (with a friend), in Paris, made me decide to make myself a member of couchsurfing. I couchsurfed myself in Valencia, Boedapest and Rotterdam and had a few meetings in Bruges (when I lived with my parents) and hosts/meetings in Ghent.

Music, Movies, and Books

A lot! Not really books, but all kinds of music.. Specially the kind of music with nice lyrics, good artists who sing or songs with nice memories. Belgian singers and bands (like Zita Swoon, Gabriel Rios, Novastar,..) are my favorites, but I also adore REM, Jack Johnson and lots of others..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trying to be a teacher in Suriname and discovering the culture, the differences and similarities in kids and schools..
Most of the times I'm amazed small things that come unexpected, like new places or small and lovely moments..

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some words of dutch, show you around the nicest places in Brugge or Gent, let you enjoy some good belgian music, play games..
I'd like to learn all kinds of creative things!
