About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Difficult to say - maybe that changes regularly?
A personal one (at the moment) would be to help the association I have founded to continue existing in the future by providing help and council for the going-to-be executives.
A more global one would be to stand up for a more democratic and near-to-the-people European Union of solidarity, freedom and human rights.
ABOUT ME
Well, what to tell you about me:
I live in Trier (in the West of Germany) where I am finishing my law studies at the moment.
Normally, I am completely organized and like to plan every single step of my life.
However, my sisters have influenced me in a way that I want to try to break out of my everyday life and gain new experiences - that's why I just went on a 2 months trip to South East Asia which made me rethink quite a few things. I am happy to share my experiences with couchsurfers and to hear about their experiences from travelling.
I love languages, getting to know other people, traveling (even if there are still a lot of places on my list!) and just sharing a wonderful time with my friends and my friends-to-be!
My Erasmus year in Bordeaux/France changed me in so far as I know now that you have to enjoy every moment of your life. Good moments pass too fast to not enjoy them!
Well anything else you want to know about me? ... I hope that I can tell you in person soon! ;)
PHILOSOPHY
I am a European!
I am a human!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Living in Trier/Germany (in a flat share with three other guys) and having passed my law exams, I will be glad to offer surfing places and to contribute as a host for others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I know Couchsurfing since March 2014 thanks to my sister who showed it to me. We wanted to find a host in Santander, Spain. Even though we didn't find someone we found a guy who showed us around there. I really liked this experience, the idea behind Couchsurfing to connect people from all over the world with each other, speaking all kinds of languages and having visited all kind of different places!
Now, I rediscovered Couchsurfing and its values during my trip to Thailand/Cambodia/Laos where I surfed quite a few times andhad very positive experiences. I enjoyed a lot getting to know locals and getting insider advices for the different regions.
I will be glad to explore a lot more couchsurfing experiences soon and to give back the same support to couchsurfers when hosting myself in Germany!
Interests
I love learning and speaking foreign languages.
I am a great fan of the European project. Even if the EU has still a lot of flaws it is the best to surmount its challenges together!
I like reading books even if I haven't had the time a lot the last months. However, I am currently writing a book with a friend (fantasy genre) in German which we plan to publish in 2017/2018. I will be glad to tell you more about it. ;)
I like running, especially while discovering new places. I prefer doing this together with other people so be invited to join me!
Lastly, I discovered my passion for hiking and I started going on hiking trips once per year in different countries (in Europe) since 2015. I love being in nature and just managing basic needs, just as finding drinking water, a sleeping place and something to eat. It is perfect to get a change from the lame everyday routines.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking through Sweden for 6 days almost without any civilisation and following only three basic needs: finding drinking water, finding a wind shelter for night and managing to light a fire (even after a day full of rain).
Participating in a Cambodian marriage while visiting the Rattanakiri province
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching and think that I have a talent in doing that. So if you like to learn some English, French or even Spanish, I would be glad to teach you some basics. (Even if German is my mother tongue I am not so sure whether I could teach you this! :D)
I love eating and helping in preparing good food. However, I am not the greatest cook due to a lack of creativity. But I would love to learn to cook new dishes - especially foreign cuisines I do not know at all! (In Thailand I did a one day cooking class and hope to cook more of marvellous Thai meals inthe future.
