About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Drop my study and apply for working holiday visa to NZ!

ABOUT ME

I'm a Chinese girl who's excited about new ideas, different cultures and people.

I finished my bachelor degree in 2011 and during those 4 years uni time, instead of working hard on study, I spent a lot of time traveling around China with my friends, which kind of changed my point of view of my life.

Then I started my master degree in another university in China, majoring in teaching Chinese as second language. Luckily enough that I got an internship opportunity at a primary school and a high school in Melbourne, Australia, so I had the best year of my life so far.

Thanks to the school holidays, I traveled around Australia in 2012 and it was also the start of my couch surfing experience. I met many people who shared their stories with me and I learned a lot from them.

Now I'm back to Beijing, China but I'm not gonna finish my master degree. Instead, I'm going to apply for a working holiday visa of New Zealand and travel there.

As I'm not studying at the moment, I have more spare time go around or have a cup of coffee with anyone who's coming to Beijing.

PHILOSOPHY

To experience different culture and life style gives me courage and happiness. Life is not so long, so enjoy it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm living in the school's dormitory with other girls and the building is 24hrs guarded by security guard so it's almost impossible for me to take anyone else into the building to surf. While I can still show you around the city or have a cup of coffee, introduce some good places to visit or eat, give you some travelling tips in China...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed 5 couches in Sydney, Hobart, Launceston, Darwin and Perth in April, July and September 2012. The hosts are so nice and I learned a lot from them. Thanks for their hosting and sweet houses which really made me feel like home. They have set a good example to show me what Couchsurfing is like and how it helps people while they're travelling.
