About Me
Last updated: Summer 2017
I'm from very rural Maine, USA. I spent a good bit of time (+/- 10 years) in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Seeking a change, in June 2014 I embarked on a one- or two-year travel with an open itinerary.
I went to Europe, traveled around, and eventually settled into a house-sitting routine. In 2015 I visited a buddhist monastery in France, stayed some months, and then moved to a connected center in New York State to explore monastic life.
After a year and a half I decided to "let that go", so to speak, and I've been in Maine since March 2017, developing the next phase.

Music, Movies, and Books
In general, most of the music I'm interested in is considered traditional, folk, or world music. I'm learning American folk music on ukulele. I love a lot of types of African music, especially from Ghana, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every moment is amazing, if we can only see it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like cooking and sharing meals together, making music together, sharing what's on our hearts and minds. Sharing nature is great too. As far as teaching and learning, I'm open to learning lots of things. I can teach a lot of things related to cooking - whole foods, slow food, healing food, fermentation (making sauerkraut, kimchi, sourdough, yogurt, ginger beer). I am good with knots, gardens, plants, compost, computers and other techie stuff.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories of my travels, my life, jokes, laughter, music, singing, going for walks, cooking together or for you, cleaning up, fun cultural exchange.
