About Me

CURRENT MISSION

...

ABOUT ME

I'm used to face life with self-irony and sense of humor, and to find the amusing sides of ugly things.

PHILOSOPHY

[work in progress!]

Interests

listening to music, playing my music, drawing doodles, learning languages, watching movies, reading books and falling asleep upon them, strolling through the countryside with my bike, wandering, wondering, watching the clouds and their reflected image (from water pools, car windshields, etc.), the beauty of nature, and other banal things everybody is interested in...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies... Monthy Python's Meaning of Life!
Movies with the italian actor Gian Maria Volonté (Indagine su di un cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto, ...), by the Cohen brothers (The Big Lebowsky, Fargo, ...), Happiness (I forgot the name of its author, I should ask my cinephile friend who borrows me all this stuff... He knows what I like better than me!)
And the cartoons by Matt Groening! The Simpsons, Futurama...

Music: depending of the mood of the day, I can lean towards the grotesque, the bitter, the dark, or the melancholic, the contemplative, or the mellow, the hopeful, the moving, the joyful, or the bizarre, the astounding, or the powerful, the cynical, the brutal, the inhuman...?
But I must admit that what touches me the most is that music that can provide a feeling of suspension... in alternative, everything that can give me shivers down the spine!

Books... I am a slow and lazy reader, still I cannot fall asleep without a book on my pillow... It takes me so much to end a book, since every line always gives me an occasion to distract me from what I'm reading... Still there were some titles which hit me in some way or another... in random order: Dostoevskij, "Delitto e Castigo"; Robert Walser, "Jakob von Gunten"; Gottfried Keller, "Romeo und Julia auf dem Dorfe"; Albert Camus, "L'étranger"; Italo Svevo, "La coscienza di Zeno"; Valerio Evangelisti, "Le catene di Eymerich"; novels by Poe and Lovecraft; Hunter H. Thompson, "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas"; Patrick Süskind, "Das Parfum"... I'm sure I've read something else, but I will tell you later...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(I really cannot summon up anything of that kind whenever I am staring at a monitor and hearing the buzzing sound of a computer!)
