Über mich
CURRENT MISSION
just live what needs to be lived. There's so much to do and learn- and everyone has to!- so just giving a hand to each other along the way can be a good idea.
ABOUT ME
young couple, 22 and 27, married for two years. love nice conversations, games, reading (a lot, lot, lot of reading...), good concerts, walking around in Walmart (yeah, weird, right?... we like it better than hanging out in the mall... dk why), doing new stuff for the house (like, building beds and furniture and stuff when we've got the time), going out, showing people around, etc...
we're mexican. we're outgoing, joke a lot, love to dance, and enjoy meeting new people.
PHILOSOPHY
too many and too changeable. we can talk about it anytime!
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
we're the type of people that won't necesarilly mind crossing the US from new york to Mexico because it's cheaper and more fun that way. airlines are overrated. and we're really laid back and find carpooling and hosting something fun and nice to do.
back in madrid we hosted a bunch of people and had no space. Now we actually have space in ithaca and no one comes by! well, not true. parents came by on september (went to niagara and montreal during their stay), brother stopped by last christmas, friend stopped by in may. you could be next!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
none yet, but it sounds like fun.
Interessen
good literature, good music, good food, good conversation.
Ana's passionate about how the brain works and works in a lab with birds. She also sings and plays in a rock band, tries to get Beethoven to sound right in the piano, and enjoys cheap suspense thriller films.
Rafael has a problem with Wikipedia, as once he looks up something, he gets lost in information. He reads a lot, both for his classes as for fun. He likes to cook, but hates washing dishes. He also enjoys football games (go broncos!), going out for a drink and ending up with very late-night conversations, and travel planning.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
hehe... interesting. way too many. but I guess Big Fish and Computer-animated movies can go into both our lists, as can 20th century classical (Rachmaninoff, Villalobos, Glass) music.
Other music we enjoy: Coldplay, Fito Paez, Cafe tacvba!!, jazz, A Perfect Circle, Mecano, etc.
Books... whew. impossible. We can both agree on Cortazar, I guess.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
what we could teach:
an easy song in piano, violin, or guitar. or learn to sing one!
how to say a bunch of things in several languages. we both know spanish, english, and french. rafael also knows some italian, portuguese, and german. ana's got experience with latin and japanese.
learn to cook some real mexican food!
what we'd like to learn:
how to cook different things from around the world would be really interesting.
any new song is always welcome. any new author is too. heck, throw card games, board games, drinking games, tv shows, phrases, dance moves, or anything else that's random and interesting to the list as well.
