My mission is a medium-term adventure/exploration of the world via the noble ESL profession

ABOUT ME

I am a queer, progressive, open-minded West Coast American with a big heart for the cosmopolitan and the local. I love breaking boundaries and challenging myself and others to learn more about it all, but I can also respect when others are content to keep doing their thing.

I love music, especially indie rock and electronica, and I love dancing and drinking beer. I like biking, hiking, and taking in nature at a slower pace. History is a passion of mine, as it can show us what people of other times discovered for themselves.

I hope I can make some great friends and contacts through CS!

PHILOSOPHY

I live a life that aspires to Nietzschean self-transcendence, in particular a focus on the eternal recurrence. I grew up Christian, but have since abandoned that path for a greater integrity between myself, my Self, and my human and natural surroundings. I have a great respect for spirituality and spiritual people, however I cannot tolerate those who would exclude or look down others for who they are. I am Queer, with a Capital Q, and that means that I live life on the margins of society and I find a connection to those who also find themselves in a position of marginalization or minority status. I seek to push myself to find a life of meaning based on self-discovery, self-knowledge, beauty, art, love, truth, freedom and fellowship.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am unable to offer any lodgings as I have no home currently, but as I transition into a more stable life I will do my best to offer whatever I can to cool people looking for a new way to travel.

兴趣

I love biking, reading, chatting, drinking, dancing, and pontificating. I love museums, nightclubs, indie/DIY culture, thrift stores, and dive bars. If you have a thoughtful or passionate take on life, chances are I'll give you some credit for that.

I can share my own experiences with paranoia, depression, coming out as gay, and self-acceptance. I can share what it is like to experience oppression and also deal it out. I love talking about politics, radicalism, US foreign policy, and esoteric spirituality.
