ABOUT ME

After finishing my degree I ended up in a relationship with an old friend in Miami and temporarily went over there to live (after the work dried up I still stayed there as a loyal & excellent house husband for a few months!).

Unfortunately things didn't work out, so I am now back in the UK (as of summer 2010) and looking to restart my writing career (*ahem* random backpacking adventures) which I put on hold while living abroad.

In the past I've been to a bunch of different countries, and out of all of them the one I can see myself moving to in the future is Canada - I love it there!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with some awesome guys in Atlanta back in Summer of 2009, but since then I've not really done any proper travelling.

兴趣

I'm a big sports nut, mainly of the four major US sports. I used to be narrow minded and only watch football ("soccer") but since going to North America so much and seeing the sports over there I've changed my tune quite dramatically.

Not big on clubbing (far too old for that) but I'm always up for a pint or two down the local pub. Then if I have enough pints, I guess I enjoy clubbing :)

Movie geek! From dumb action flicks to indie cinema, I pretty much watch anything. But I'm a moany old man and have a critic's eye because of my journalism and scriptwriting experience :(

I'm a huge heavy metal fan so love going to festivals & concerts, but live music of any genre is awesome to me! I really like old blues, a bit of hip hop, and classical/orchestral type stuff.

I love reading non-fiction: politics, history, culture, current affairs, that kind of stuff.
