About Me

*** UPDATE 2 *** Now in Wake Forest United States where nobody knows Couchsurfing lol

*** UPDATE *** Moved to Vienna, Austria, and cannot host at the moment

I was born and grown up in Egypt with my parents who gave me and my siblings everything and anything they could to become who I am now..

My turn was to give this back to my father who had bad health for the last two years of his life, and me and my mother were taking care of him.. He passed away early 2016..

I don't, and will never, regret the time I spent with him or the desires I missed during his life.

I currently work in many fields: work on my own as an English editor, a day job as a business analyst assisting the top management, and following our family business.

and, of course, a traveler who started exploring the world in 2017.

Traveling made me learn new things that I thought I was doing right.

In addition, in weekends in Egypt I used to give English lessons to students (they are all children between 8 and 13) from low-income families, to add good things to the society. I hope that this participation works positively. I cannot express my feeling when the students tell me this is the first time they learn these new things this way and how happy they are.

The most important to tell about myself is that I like Austria tooooo much and I consider it also my country. I feel home every time I go there.

Vienna is always the first stop when I go anywhere in Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is really wrong when people think couchsurfing is for saving money. I never thought about this. Couchsurfing is about sharing life with other people, making good memories together, crossing cultures of each other, and learning new things (take the good and leave the bad behind).

People who see themselves better than others, because of their place of birth, skin color, culture difference, are not real couchsurfers or travelers. In my mind, I see all couchsurfers as good balanced people with great personalities and wonderful behaviors (to respect and be respected by others).

My CS activities started by attending Couchsurfing events in Cairo in 2015, all were wonderful and I made many Egyptian and foreign friends. Then started traveling, first trip to Vienna with family, since then we cannot stop, and we made the second trip to Athens "the same month"...

TRAVEL ADDICTED.. so I use couchsurfing to meet people while traveling (to be hosted by locals or just meeting them or other travelers).

Interests

Music, playing basketball, volleyball, ping bong, also swimming.

Music, Movies, and Books

all music of Omar Khairat, I consider myself lucky to live these days with Omar Khairat music. He is as talented as Mozart (I like him also so much, and listened to most of his music and visited his house in Salzburg).

For me, 80s movies are the best, and many new movies for sure.

Many books affected me really: Winning, Straight from the Gut, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is not one thing actually, they are many

- The first CS hosting experience was for a group of 6 guests, from Japan
- Enjoying a day inside Vienna Opera in its free open day.
- I did jump from a 15-meter-high bridge into water.
- Swam in the Red sea and the Mediterranean sea in the same day :-)
- While traveling to Luxor and Aswan, I didn't sleep for 3 days.
