关于我

Hi friends,

I’m originally from Pokhara, Nepal, and I’m an easygoing, curious, and fun-loving person who enjoys travel, meaningful conversations, meeting new people, and learning from different cultures and perspectives.

Professionally, I am a physician-scientist currently based at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA, where I work as a postdoctoral research fellow. My research focuses on the effects of cannabis and classic psychedelics on human health and disease.

I am also a founding member of Dirghayu Nepal, a nonprofit organization working to improve health, education, and human rights in rural Nepal.

Travel has always been a big part of my life. In 2015–2016, I left my job to begin a world bicycle tour with my younger brother, Ajit. Our journey carried the message “Save the Environment to Save the World” and promoted HIV/AIDS awareness. Together, we cycled through 17 countries and covered around 22,000 miles, including a cross-country ride across the United States from west to east. Along the way, we spoke with people about HIV/AIDS, climate change, global warming, and the value of global connection.

A few stories from that journey:

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

After the April 25, 2015 earthquake in Nepal, I went to remote villages in some of the hardest-hit areas to help survivors through free health camps, medicines, and relief distribution.

Then, in September 2015, I quit my job and started a World Bicycle Tour to spread messages about environmental protection and HIV/AIDS awareness. I cycled 22,000 miles across 17 countries, including an unforgettable cross-country ride in the U.S. from California to New York City.

教,学,和分享

I would love to share language, culture, ideas, and the many stories and experiences I gathered during my world bicycle tour.
Also, my research work on cannabis and psychedelics
