About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've been living a transient life since I was 18, and love travelling and living all around the world and learning about traditions and cultures which are different to my own.

ABOUT ME

Very open-minded and accepting, adventurous and easily bored! Love spending time in nature and travelling off the beaten track.

PHILOSOPHY

my life is enriched by the people I meet and the experiences I have. The more I can do of both, the more connected I feel to the world around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I look forward to the day I can host someone myself! What a way to welcome a person into your country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been registered as a couch-surfer for quite a few years, but have only been a couch-surfer twice! It was a fab experience, and I look forward to my next experience.

Interests

sailing, hiking, socializing, travelling and adventure, scuba-diving, meeting new and interesting people, music and being out and about in nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

any type of music, as long as it's good - except maybe country and western (though I do make exceptions for Mr Cash!) Books that transport me to a place I may never know..fictional mostly- but thought provoking and with a message. I also love documentaries and french films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen and experienced so many wonderful things in my lifetime....I expect a lot from life, it's not about existing for me-I try and live my life in a big way. On the top of the list would be sailing three months across the Pacific from Panama to Fiji, which I completed last year. It was absolutely the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but also the most character building and a time when I felt truly free. The way the stars look when you're in the middle of the ocean. Breath-taking!

Teach, Learn, Share

To trade experiences, cultures and ideas. We can learn something from every person we meet, if we just remain open-minded and really listen to what people have to say. That is the way to true wisdom!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots of travel information and advice - I used to be a travel agent, and I guess it never left me! To give someone confidence enough to be adventurous and step out into the big wide world and search for something that makes them feel truly alive.
