Overview
About Me
Hi! I am a professional musician, flutist to be exact, with the symphony here and I teach adjunct at two local colleges. The musician life (even as a classical musician) is a crazy one, but I love every minute of it. I am a dog lover and very fond of rescue dogs. Remy is my shy and very well behaved 9 year old Italian Greyhound (mini Greyhound) that I rescued last year. I am a local coffee and craft beer fanatic. Breweries are my go to place to hang with friends outside of a chill night at the house. I also enjoy finding new recipes to try especially in the vegan and vegetarian department.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My career has me traveling all over the country (hopefully more abroad soon!). I'm honestly surprised it has taken me this long to join couchsurfing. I am looking to have a more personal travel experience by making friends along the way and living among the locals. My current living situation does not allow me to host unfortunately.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Of Monsters and Men, Borns, Phantogram, The xx, Chvrches, Death Cab for Cutie, Ingrid Michaelson, Kings of Convenience, Fleet Feet.... among others and of course, anything classical.
Movies: Rom-coms, Indie, and dramas.
Books: I'm bad at books. By that, I mean that I enjoy reading, but do a really bad job of giving myself the time to start and finish a book. Memoirs and Pop Psychology are my genres.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: about what it is like to be a classical musician since most people don't really know that it can be job and not just a hobby!
