About Me

Hello Travellers!

My name is Amy. We all have that one dream, the dream for which we work, struggle, fight, save money and one fine day leave the world behind to go for it. My dream is to travel. A dream and constant urge to explore the world. A dream to be a part of the nature and people. A dream to live a new life every day.

As I grew up, people seemed to be like a family no matter where I was. A travel is not just a treat to the eye, it is, in fact, a wholesome experience. I try to do it by being with the people and not just the place.

Though eating maachh-bhaat and touristy trips twice a year is common among the Bongs (Bengali people), we used to make every moment special by gelling with the place, people, culture and of course FOOD.

Here I am with travel stories to make you dream, learn and be inspired to leave your comfort zone to accomplish the larger mission of life to make it worthy and happier.

Note: I just moved to Jaipur from Chennai!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to believe that the best way one can learn about an area or a culture is through direct contact with its people. This is a valuable platform in facilitating travellers. In fact, it seems like the only meaningful way to travel like a local.

Also, I am deeply curious about different places and what happens there, and I believe the best way to discover this is to meet with people who belongs there.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Country and commercial music is on my playlists!🎶

Coming to book...Fiction is my all time favourite📚

I am not much into movies, but usually watch anything that's going on...and I am scared of horror movies👻

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First of all...the most amazing thing that we all are doing is Living our lives 🙏🏻

Sitting under the clear sky, gazing at the stars by the bonfire with all Couchsurfers in a desert...an amazing experience from Dubai.

Enjoying my first snow with Julie, the dog who was my company for few days in the mountains.

Camping and experiencing the Music Festival for continuous 4 days...with all the tribal people and music lovers across the world in the mountains of Ziro.

Experiencing Scuba diving and witnessing the beautiful corals and fish in Havelock.

And there are way too many....

Teach, Learn, Share

As we learn every single day, I can teach you to make yourself a really good masala chai and also to cook! Being multilingual, I can teach you English, Hindi and Bengal. I can also enrich your knowledge about my culture.

I can share good vibes and smiles. Traveling have taught me a lot and I am all up for sharing stories if your ears are all mine. I don't mind sharing my food too😋
