About Me

I love languages, and the doors that they open. I love color and creativity, as well as contrast that brings new perspective. I'm curious about almost everything, and I'll likely ask you tons of pointless questions. I also really appreciate honesty, so no hard feelings when you tell me to shut up ;)

I get really restless and bored easily, so I like to travel a lot and try different things. I prefer sitting on the floor or a table to sitting on chairs (new perspective. Literally.) I really love to cook, although, if I use a recipe, I see it as an inspiration rather than a rule book. I love varieties in cultures, people, beliefs, backgrounds, etc.

I'm just as much up for sitting with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and talking as I am to running around the streets of an unknown city, or climbing cliffs and buildings; just depends on my mood :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the cultural exchange that couchsurfing is, and the doors it opens up when you go to a different country. It's amazing to be able to meet and stay with people who are so different in many ways, but also love traveling, and to learn about their experiences and hear their stories.

Interests

Phychology, revolutions, international relations, personalities, languages, cultures, coffee, wine, abandoned buildings, art, cultures, poetry, writing, reading, music, cute/cozy cafes, underground scene bars and clubs, interior design, basically anything that makes me stop and contemplate something.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's hard to choose a specific type of music, book, genre, etc. I love many different ones for many different reasons, and while I have my preferences, it still just depends on the day.

As for authors, I really like Paulo Coelho, especially his books Aleph and Veronika decides to die. Always looking for recommendations though.

For movies, I live independent movies, ones that really suck me in and make me feel and see things the way the characters do. I would recommend to everyone out there a few of my favourites:
And then we danced
Aimelie
Little women
Perfume - the story of a murderer
Upstream Color

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Couchsurfing in the Sahara, taking a 17 hour train from Chisinau to Kyiv, lived in the Philippines for 4 months when I was 8 and went to school there, studying in Lithuania for three years, slept on the street in Copenhagen...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some German, Lithuanian, or English, some guitar/piano/ukelele, interior design, cooking, geography, stories from lots of different countries, how to start a revolution...

I'll learn what you'll teach:)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, clean (working for years in hospitality teaches a lot in that respect) Also, if you're interested in trading anything, books, clothes, whatever random objects I happen to have with me, then we can deal :) And of course, stories and life, adventures and questions! Plus I'll provide wine or help you drink it.
