I have recently undertaken a year working in Yamaguchi, Japan and I am planning on travelling throughout South East Asia after finishing. I am originally from Sheffield in England, but I have lived in York, England for the past six years.

My favourite books include Harry Potter, The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Choke and The Man who mistook his wife for a hat.
My favourite movies are the Harry Potter movies, Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, Leon: The professional, Little Miss Sunshine, Shawshank redemption and The Little Mermaid.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my time in Asia I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit North Korea and see the country first hand for myself. It was an amazing experience and taught me a lot about the Korean culture. I will definitely visit the country again and I hope next time to go hiking and camping in the mountains!

One thing I have learnt from my experiences travelling is to have an open-mind, don't be scared by the locals and to learn as much as you can from the people who live there.
