About Me
"Life rafts may keep you afloat but they rarely get you anywhere, and I have places I want to go". - Andrea Gibson (poet)
Hi there! I live in the smallest state (and one of the best!) in the US, and have an immense passion for exploration. I'm ready to let go of the life raft and do some of that exploring abroad! I would consider myself very adventurous, creative, spiritual, energetic, responsible, and a kindhearted friend.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am taking a two month solo trip across Europe August - September this year (England, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, & Croatia). I am using couchsurfing because I want get to know locals and share their perspective of the places I visit! Spending time exploring with hosts is ideal, along with hopefully earning some new friendships. I also want to hear of hosts own exciting travel experiences, and who knows - maybe it will inspire my next!
Interests
I currently work in event planning and am very organized. I also have seven years of food service industry experience, have worked on horse farms, and done sculptural design / metalworking. I love kayaking, hiking, skiing, cooking, creating costumes and jewelry, taking photos, and making new friends! I also love guacamole. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Howl's Moving Castle is one of my favorite childhood books. Even now, it brings such imaginative experience through it's pages. I was an English minor, and just love to read overall or discuss literature with others. I like all types of music depending on my mood, but particularly enjoy folk. As for movies, I'm pretty die hard for Sci-Fi and Fantasy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked my way through school. I know it seems simple, but working 40-60 hours a week to pay for it and all other living expenses, on top of full college class loads while keeping my grades up was not easy. It challenged me both mentally and physically, and is probably the thing I am most proud of. I hope to show the same effort and dedication in everything else I do.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Photos! It may not be much, but would love to share photos of my travels with those interested. We can even go take some new ones together.
