I am an all round nerd: the sort of nerd who writes essays on Tolkien, stays up until three in the morning planning Dungeons and Dragons games, and invents solo rules for sci-fi board games. I like lachrymose classical music, wailing opera, and folk and country ballads in which everything goes terribly wrong. I have a huge hat collection and a huge book collection, but both of them are back with my parents in South Africa.
