Overview
About Me
I'm an environmental scientist and landscape architect working in water resources. I get easily excited by swimming holes, strange fruits, neighborhood cats, and a good porch. I like to explore by foot, by bike, and by paddle.
On weeknights and weekends, I pursue rock climbing, caving, exploring the local trails, getting to the independent film theater, foraging for seasonal urban fruits, seeing live shows, two-stepping at the honky tonk, finding treasure at the thrift store, and checking out books from the library.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people and hear perspectives and ideas different from my own.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have too many hobbies that usually involve creating of some sort: knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing, drawing, cooking, and baking.
I like to learn about local histories, especially women's histories, and how our connection to the land has changed over time.
I've acquired a lot of knowledge about stormwater management and local ecologies through my jobs. If you've ever wondered about rainwater on your property, I can probably answer a lot of your questions.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking skills, laughs, gratitude, listening, and stories. I have a lot of opinions about landscape design and am good at pointing and recommending.
