About Me

I spent the last seven years biking around in Seattle, working at a daycare during the day and singing and acting in the evening. Before that I grew up in an incredibly Dutch town with a tulip festival, wooden shoes, poffertjes, and all. I always yearned to see the Netherlands and now I'm living here for a year!
I would like to say that the three words that describe me best are joyful, intentional, and compassionate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I loved having folks over in Seattle. I'd love to get to experience the culture of each area I travel to by actually staying with someone who lives there! Also, I'm very easy to please. I just need a place to lay my head, it doesn't even have to be that comfy- I slept in a storage closet for over a year and it was great.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Gone with the Wind" by Maragret Mitchell. An incredible novel I expected to hate.
"Mr. Smith goes to Washinton" or "It's a Wonderful Life". I'm all for sappy uplifting movies. Plus- James Stewart.
Current favorite musical is either "Waitress" or "Hamilton". I know, everyone knows them but I can't give them up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I participated in the naked Fremont Solstice Bike ride!
-Hmm. I grew up on a farm so once I transported a live pig in the trunk of my car. He was lost on the road and,
-I've also been a music director, music designer, director, dramaturg, dialect coach, and vocal coach for a bunch of theatrical productions, each with some pretty amazing moments. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I've gotten pretty reliable at fixing bikes, or at least knowing what the problem is and how it should be fixed.
I also love to sing so if you need some back-up harmony to kill it at karaoke, I'm your woman.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've worked in/at 3 different restaurants (including a pie shop and a vegan restaurant) so I'm a pretty good hand in the kitchen!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Switzerland, United Kingdom
