About Me
Recently closed my Peace Corps service in Mozambique and am doing a bit of traveling before I head back to grad school in the States.
I'm a native New Yorker trying to see parts of the world I have never seen before. My favorite thing about traveling are those moments where you find yourself sitting in a cafe, or park, or somewhere quite and public and you're taking it all in.
I love listening to people's stories about their lives and their travels, and learning new languages. I'd love to swap stories and ideas over drinks. Life as a volunteer has trained me to be pretty low-maintenance. I'd be happy with a roof and a spot on the floor, the rest I'll figure out. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always feel more connected to the place I am visiting when I am staying with a local. Hotels are nice, but they isolate you from the very place you've come to see.
Interests
I'm trying out my hand in photography. I still have a lot to learn.
Any nature related activity such as scuba diving, hiking, climbing I absolutely love to do.
Recently took up surfing and am totally hooked. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time I slid down an active volcano. I'm still finding ash in my hair.
