About Me

Spending a year in between graduating university and starting work traveling the globe and hoping to meet some amazing people and memories along the way...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my now good friends I met through traveling once told me that "there's a fine line between stranger and friend." I hold onto this everywhere I go and with everyone I meet; some of the best people I've met have been fellow travelers, and a huge majority of those people have recommended Couchsurfing to me, so I'm hoping to meet more great people from around the world in this cool way :)

Interests

Travel, music, photography, poetry, film, dogs that wear pajamas, and hearing about other people's life stories.

I've worked in quite a few different areas in music, from several departments at record labels to artist management companies to festival work. I try to go to as many local shows as I can while I travel and am hoping to spend most of my summer going to some festivals in Europe. If anyone is interested in what working in music is like or ever wants to go to a show together, let me know! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

It'd be impossible to list my favorite music and films since that's pretty much what my life revolves around (I work in recorded music), but my favorite band has to be Nirvana and one of my favorite movies is City of God. Basically I love anything that makes me feel alive - a powerful song or film that makes you think of the world and your place in it; sometimes, that can be as simple as a Pixar movie (also my favorites).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paragliding over the Swiss Alps, taking a helicopter ride over Fraser Island in Australia, zip-lining 185 meters high over a canyon in New Zealand, and bathing an elephant in Thailand probably tops the list of most incredible things I've done. Most simply, though, the single most amazing thing I've done is take a leap of faith and travel the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Aside from engaging in music, I love exploring the alternative side to cities; getting lost in different laneways and finding hidden graffiti / street art makes me feel more connected to a city than anything else. Let's explore together!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Inappropriately timed and distasteful (but well intentioned) jokes, drinks on a fun night out, reciprocated generosity if you're ever in the New York/Rio de Janeiro area, and hopefully some pretty epic stories and a lasting friendship :)
