ABOUT ME

I'm 26 years old and grew up in England. I lived in Germany for 4 years after uni to work and improve my language and then I quit my job to travel.
I'm a bit of a clutz, love to laugh and have fun, reading, writing, languages, travelling, music, singing, sport, sunrise/sunsets, long train journeys, road trips, old friends, new friends, sharing time with those you love, dreaming...and the occasional dirty techno party.

Where I've been so far:
Sri Lanka - India - Myanmar - Thailand - Singapore - India - Malaysia - Hong Kong - Taiwan - Philippines - Indonesia

Where I still plan to go:
Australia - New Zealand - South & Central America

I love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures so looking for hosts to show me around their local town, introduce me to their favourite food, travel together, eat together, share experiences with, make friends with... whatever really! :)

I travelled Asia alone and I think couchsurfing was such a great way to get to know the 'true' culture of a place. I want to meet all different people from different cultures and backgrounds and just experience their countries/cities/villages and be able to share some great new experiences and make some new friends :)

I love music - especially live, so I love to fill my summers with festivals! All food; dancing the night away in dirty techno bunkers; reading; I like to write and hope to keep a blog whilst I'm travelling. I'm also a bit of a sneakerhead (currently around 40 pairs) and into streetwear and menswear, so adjusting to living out of a backpack could be interesting!

I love all music.. dOP, Rodhad, Solomun, Loco Dice, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Jungle, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Jamie T, George Ezra, Hozier, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rag'n'Bone Man, Johnny Cash, Rise Against.... anything and everything really! Acoustic and guitar for chilling out, electro and techno for dancing, piano and classical for sleeping 👌

I'm not the biggest movie buff, I tend to forget what I've seen and what I want to see... but I'll watch anything really! Fan of horror movies when I'm hungover.

All books.. I studied literature at uni and can spend hours curled up with a good read. Anything by Murakami goes down well, Shantaram, anything to do with travel and/or coming of age

Made the decision to leave corporate life and take the chance to travel on my own!
Climbed mountains in Sri Lanka, learnt to surf, rock climbed in Hampi at sunrise, rode a camel into the Thar desert and slept under the stars, white-water rafting down the Ganges river, Christmas on the beach in Thailand, new year at marina bay in Singapore, some of the most incredible sunsets in the Philippines, all of the yoga in Ubud...The list just keeps growing ❤️

I can play the piano to grade 5, speak fluent German and English... I am happy to share any of those abilities! I'm not the best cook, but I throw everything that tastes good together and see what happens... I don't think that's worth teaching though ha.

Always willing to learn whatever I can and share whatever I can! :)
