Overview
About Me
Hi, I’m Amy. I work in tech and enjoy a slower, more intentional lifestyle. I like reading, quiet routines, and meaningful conversations. I travel to understand people and culture, not just places.
⸻
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Here for cultural exchange and genuine, respectful connections. I value good conversations and shared perspectives.
⸻
Important Note
I’m not looking for dating. This is strictly platonic.
⸻
Hosting
I host when it fits my schedule. I keep a clean, calm space and appreciate guests who are independent, respectful, and easy to communicate with.
⸻
Style
Low-drama, respectful, and straightforward. I enjoy connection, but also value personal space.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love connecting with people, especially travelers who carry stories from places I’ve yet to visit. Hosting someone is like traveling through their memories. Plus, Hanoi is beautiful, and I enjoy showing people the charm of the local life here.
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to music based on my mood—soft indie when I need calm, old-school R&B when I’m romantic, and café jazz when I’m working. Love a good emotional film or psychological drama. As for books, I’m always reading something about healing, psychology, or manifestation. “The Dance of Anger” and “The Untethered Soul” are two that really shifted how I see things.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Had some unexpected soul-shifting sessions with strangers while traveling. Those rare conversations are the one that make you feel seen, even for a moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach English (and sometimes life advice on the side), I love learning about people - especially what lights them up. I share everything from my favorite local food spots to how to manifest your dream life. Ask me about journaling prompts if you’re stuck or soul-searching.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Warm conversations, local insights, and probably too many café recommendations. If I’m not too swamped, I can show you some hidden gems in Hanoi.
Countries I’ve Visited
China, Japan, Taiwan, United States
