Overview
About Me
Positive and adventurous. I’m here to make friends around the world. I’m a chronic volunteer. Right now I book and promote music events in Seattle area. I write about music, musicians, travel, etc. I love people, dogs, coffee, art and wine. I also love a harmonica player. He travels with me sometimes. Fascinated with traditions and cultures; churches, synagogues, sacred celebrations, and find we are more alike than not. I live very modestly; travel same way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to travel, get to know people and areas in a more immersive way, learn about local people and stories. Interested in history, writer spots and live music venues, good inexpensive food, and unique and free experiences. Really just want to connect and get a little insider info about the cities I visit, with a place to sleep. I usually stay in the Seattle area, involved in blues music scene, and would love to meet up or recommend venues for live music in and around the Northwest.

Music, Movies, and Books
ALL MUSIC. I adore books. Tom Robbins, Toni Morrison, Amy Tan, Rumi, Kahlil Gibran, Verlyn Klinkinborg, Dave Eggers, poetry and classics. Independent and foreign film and musicals.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve helped save a few lives, raised a few kids, interviewed a presidential candidate, sang in front of a big crowd, zip-lined through a forest, and traveled Europe with my bestie on a shoestring.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a lot of interests so I know a little about a lot of things. I know a little ASL and recently took conversational Spanish and Italian classes. I can help with English and writing. I know some music history and about the blues. I've been a dogsitter, housesitter, and caregiver, and have helped on small farms. I know how to milk goats!. I want to learn about the folks I stay with and the places I visit: history, traditions, art, culture, spirituality.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can walk dogs or practice English or proofread writing. Flexible. In Seattle area or Snoqualmie I can give tours. I know where to find live blues almost any night of the week. And during the summer, all the farmer's markets. I travel and live with friends, so cannot host right now, but when I'm in town, I'm down to meet up and show folks around.
