About Me

I have an easygoing attitude, and a passion for nature, a dry sense of humour, and a travel bug that has me hell bent on exploring the world.
I strive to maintain a positive mindset and stay humble each day. Kindness is infectious, be kind and you'll be rewarded with unseen satisfaction.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done the luxurious route; stayed in nice hotels, rented houses, been to resorts, etc. Though I immensely appreciate the experiences I've had, I'm now looking for a form of travel less structured, and full of unexpected adventure.
I'm stoked to meet fellow travellers and hosts from around the world, learn their story, share our knowledge, and one day return their generous hospitality.

Interests

I have a deep rooted love for painting, camping, and surfing, as well as a passion for hiking, cycling, hot yoga, cooking, baking, and bonfires!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy an variety of novels belonging to an assortment of genres; The Hydrofoil Mystery, The City of Ember, and The Host.

As far as movies go, I enjoy a medley of genres as well. Anything from Copenhagen, to Superbad, to Away We Go, to Jane Eyre.

As of today, I appreciate the musical works of Cat Stevens, The Avett Brothers, Adam Cohen, Thomas Rhett, The Brothers Osborne, and Angus & Julia Stone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This past winter I travelled to the Islands of Hawaii. While on Oahu, I experienced my first shark cage dive, and witnessed a majestic 8 foot Sandbar shark. Next time..no cage!

Teach, Learn, Share

Language facinates me. The immense variety of cultural differences and similarities around the world just boggle my mind. Anything you'd like to share about your culture, I'm all ears.

I love to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen. I have a knack for making anything from yam peanut soup, to curry tofu, roasted brussel sprouts, salad rolls, and sugar free baking. Carbs all the way woo woo! I'm always down to try something new.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always game for an adventure, and love trying new things. I would be more than happy to share my knowledge of soccer and acrylic painting techniques with you!
In exchange for a place to rest my eyes & feet, if you have any chores you'd like me to complete during my stay just let me know.
