Overview
About Me
I'm calm, communicative, and curious. I grew up all around Canada, and I've carried this transitory trend into adulthood. I've just returned to Canada to regroup after a year teaching English as an Additional Language in South Korea and 4 months of travel. I don't know where I'm headed or what I'll do next, but I'll have a little dog in tow, who joined me in South Korea.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The people I meet on the journey, be it locals or travelers, is my favourite part of an adventure. While couchsurfing will facilitate that as I travel, it also helps me find that at home with hosting and meet ups.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty always gets me out of whatever funk is keeping me stationary.
I'm predominately a fiction reader, but I won't pass up travel lit to help me live vicariously when I'm home. I carry a e-book when I travel and have boxes of books waiting for me to settle permanently. My current literary challenge is Le Petit Prince. It's a real test of my French skills and slow going.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I taught in a rural Kenyan primary school for six weeks during my teaching training. Those kids have ruined me for all other kids. No students will ever be as harder working, enthusiastic, engaged, or well-behaved.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to do the thing I'm supposed to do in the place I'm supposed to do it. That means I'm interested in local activities and flavours.
I collect recipes from the people I meet and the places I visit. Time spent cooking with another person is meaningful to me.
I'm always up for a new trail to explore. I'm not an Island girl, but I'm happy to point you in the right direction.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am content to spend the day out exploring alone, but there is something about sharing a meal and conversation with another person that makes me truly happy. Let's experiment with new recipes and tastes.
