I'm Amy.
I'm originally from Cornwall, England. I study Anthropology and International Development, at Sussex university in Brighton. Currently spending some time abroad in Uppsala, Sweden, unfortunately because I'm away I don't have space to host at the moment.
My hobbies include an eclectic mix of fishing, surfing, aerial circus, cooking and travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people in exciting places and getting more of a 'local' perspective. I've hosted guests before with former housemates and it's been a really great experience.
Currently on a study abroad term in lovely Sweden and looking to explore more of the Nordic lands.

Interests

I grew up in a tiny coastal village in Cornwall where I spent most of my summers in/around/on the sea. I've been fishing for as long as I could walk, I dabble with surfing and I love my dog more than I love most people.
I started learning aerial circus a year ago, at the moment I'm mostly training in silks. It's super hard work and I am far from a natural at it, that said I absolutely love it. Would be very happy to share the skills if facilities were available :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Somewhere between folksy, chilled music and terrible 90's pop, I enjoy most genres of music.
I have never been a huge fan of films, as I much prefer just being outside exploring and enjoying nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught my 30-something housemate how to ride a bicycle.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to bake a Swedish kladdkakke, (chocolate mud cake) but this is about my only failsafe baking recipe. Also happy to help with English language skills and I can amuse you with travel stories and my terrible second language skills!
