I'm a music and video game geek and I love language and a well-written phrase. I try to defy stereotypes at all opportunities if I can, though it's not always possible. I'm a little weird, but pretty easy-going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My partner is a pilot, which means I get to travel standby on an ID ticket. This means that if I don't get to fly at my transfers, I might need a couch to crash on for a night or more, depending on the situation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm mostly into heavy metal, but I'll listen to anything that catches my fancy, be it a great movie or game score, 90s North American country music, or Lady Gaga.

I'm a fantasy geek, and some of my favorite books are by Patrick Rothfuss and Scott Lynch (though who doesn't appreciate Martin and Tolkien?); I also have a weakness for Jane Austin and Agatha Christie.

I'm not a big TV-watcher, though I like Rick and Morty, Adventure Time, Downton Abbey, Gilmore Girls, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, and anything that's got a half-decent plot or interesting writing. I hate reality TV. My favorite movies are usually somehow fantasy related, be it the LotR trilogy or Pirates of the Caribbean, or anything by Disney/Pixar. Also, love a good drama or action film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I own and operate a music media website called Musicalypse. I see a lot of live music and write album reviews, often before they're released. I also get to interview some cool people.
