Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people with local knowledge as I feel there is no better way of gaining a truly authentic experience of a country than to engage with real people. I'm currently travelling through Europe, looking to meet some real people and to take away some friendships and memories, not just photos.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music, especially high-spirited, uplifting and soulful sounds. I like to read classic English literature and adventure / mystery stories. My favourite movies are the animated sort - anything Disney, Dreamworks or Pixar!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I climbed Tai Shan during the night and stayed awake to watch the sunrise from the summit

- Participated in the La Tomatina festival in Spain - a massive tomato fight in Buñol, near Valencia

- I volunteered on a sea turtle conservation project in Costa Rica and patrolled the beach in the middle of the night, looking for eggs

- I quit my job to live and work in China for six months
