Hello! My name is Amy! I just left Canada to move to France to work as an English teaching assistant (I'm near Lyon!). As a music student, I have studied European history nearly my whole life but I know absolutely nothing of the European lives of today. Having immigrated to Canada from China as a child, I realized how little I know of my own country/continent. So, I made it a little goal for myself to right this wrong, travel as much as I can, meet as many people as I can, and learn of their lives as I share my own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a Chinese-born Canadian, who grew up in the diversely, multicultural city of Toronto. This gave me the privilege to have a taste of the world right at home. But the more I learned, the more I realized how little I knew about anything. I hope to meet more people, exchange stories and cultures, and learn how your lives and perspectives differ from/align with my own! At the end of the day, I hope to make new friends and memories from people miles away from home!
