About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I would like to see as much of the world as possible and share with others the beautiful place I currently call home.

ABOUT ME

I love exploring new places and getting lost in the outdoors. I'd rather have a passport full of stamps than a house full of stuff. I enjoy trail running, yoga, and rock climbing regularly, but I enjoy trying new things and can make an adventure out of just about any experience. I'm easily entertained.

PHILOSOPHY

Live simply. Explore. Share. Give back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet new people and assist others in their traveling adventures! I think couch surfing is a neat way to make friends from all around the world and to add something interesting and unique to your trip. Way better than staying in a hotel.

Interests

Traveling. Meeting new people. Exploring.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite genres would be indie, folk, bluegrass, rap, alternative rock but I can appreciate something about all music and love to be introduced to new bands. I am currently teaching myself to play guitar. I am impressed by the quality and diversity of live music in Birmingham.

Movies: I'm not much of a TV/Movie watcher, but I do love me some Leonardo DiCaprio.

Books: I'm always reading at least 3 books at a time. Lately I've been reading more adventure, mountaineering, and survival stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved across the country from Tennessee to Arizona (where I had never been and knew no one) with nothing but me, my clothes, and my car. I made the 2 1/2 day drive alone and it was the most liberating, exciting, and amazing experience of my life (so far).

Last summer I make a 6 week cross country trip to Montana. I had never been on a trip that long. It was a grand adventure!

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to work at a winery so I can teach you a lot about wine and wine tasting! I have a personal interest in wilderness emergency medicine and endurance running so I could share knowledge about that if you're interested.

I'm currently trying to learn how to travel light and on a budget. I want to try fast packing. Teach me a new song on the guitar!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A nice trail run or hike. Then we can share stories over a beer and some food! I can also lead you in a yoga practice if you are into that.
