ABOUT ME
I love all things summer and travel - hiking, kayaking, beaches, mountains, barbeques, dancing all night. I especially love COOKING; everything from all-American burgers to grandma's Jewish comfort food, Mediterranean, Thai, etc. I always want to learn a new dish. In fact, for the last two years, I cooked dinner for my house of 55 students every friday! Even more, I love talking to people in each place I go.
The past two years, I lived in my universities international co-op house - meeting those 100+ students from EVERYWHERE is one of the best decisions I've made.
I graduated from university a few months and am working in Germany and traveling May-August. Then I am driving cross country to move to San Francisco! I study human genetics, demography and evolution.
PHILOSOPHY
You regret the things you don't do more than those you do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently traveling, looking for hosts :)
When I get back to the USA (near San Francisco) I would love to host!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have not yet surfed (newbie!), but look forward to it. A number of my former housemates have, and highly suggest it.
Interests
Cooking and dancing are my favorite - all types. One of my favorite activities so far traveling has been browsing the local food markets and trying the local dishes.
I grew up on ballet, but my mom is a flamenco and Israeli dance teacher, both of which I am learning.
Generally, anything that keeps me outside and with people is a good way to spend time!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a science nerd, so I spend most of my time reading journal articles... My favorite fiction author is John Irving. Though I tend to read history and politics more often.
Any music I know, I like. If I don't like it, play it a few more times, and I will.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
lived in a mountain village in the Republic of Georgia with little to no electricity excavating human remains from 2 million years ago. best 4 weeks of my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
The highlight of any trip is cooking a local dish and dancing to local music. I would love to share both!
Though, since I've been overseas, I have also grown to love discussing politics, history, religion, science, etc, with people from such different backgrounds.
