Just a sporadic traveler residing on the East coast!
I get extremely uncomfortable writing these kind of things over the internet. The best version of me works well in person and enjoys verbal communication over most other forms.
I'm very attracted to couchsurfing because it allows this open platform of trusting travelers to share themselves and their cities with others.
It reminds me of reading stories about travelers centuries ago, finding refuge in a local farmer's home.
There they're able to have a safe space, good food, share laughter and get answers to questions only a local would know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of meeting fellow travelers and sharing local happenings. No one understands the lay of the land better than a local. It gives me a bit of hope that there are such trusting people that allow strangers into their lives so easily and openly.

Interests

I'm more inclined to bike somewhere than to drive somewhere. I surf a bit and slack line to dry off. If it's not an instructional guide teaching me an odd skill set it's most definitely fantasy fiction that I'm reading.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've lived in Jacksonville my entire life so there's nothing that goes over my head when it comes to this city! Late in the summer of 2018 I purchased a camper van that's made me travel a lot more. I enjoy sharing local knowledge that have to do with the neighboring cultures and arts.
