ABOUT ME

Update: April 2015

Wow, this is starting to read a bit more like my life story. So this past year, I did a stint in Asia, then Europe and returned to the United States to see family and friends. I married a man a met in Cambodia (he's from France) this past January and we bought a land outside Hornbrook, CA and have started the "American Dream," or perhaps it's just "The Dream." We need to stay in the United States for at least the next 6-9 months, while we work on his immigration things, and earn a bit more money.

March 2014
I've been doing Southeast Asia recently, mosty Thailand with a few drifts into Cambodia & Loas. I fly back to the Philippines next month. I suppose the Philippines is also SOutheast Asia, but I think of that more like home, and here like the mainland. haha.

Update: April 2013:
Over the past few months I've traversed Mexico, visited the Taiwan and moved to the Philippines. My next Visa runs out on May 2nd, and I'm flying into Depensar, Indonesia. I wanna travel across Indonesia. Let us play!

December 2012

I rode my bike from Portland, OR to San Francisco, CA and ended up spending several months in Arcata, CA volunteering. Now I'm on my way South (sans bicycle) to rock climb and venture in Mexico before heading to the Philippines to visit family.

PS. I'm thinking of Palenque for the soltice...

June 2012:

Currently, I'm a solo bike tourist. I've been moving for about a month now, and this little old lady in the diner I"m at mentioned that she gets couch surfers all the time, and I was like, BINGO! Couchsurfing! I forgot all about that. So, here I am making a profile.

About me? Well, I enjoy biking (obvisously), rock climbing, camping, backbacking, writing, cooking, eating, eating again, dancing, politics, space, mysteries, strangers, new places, long conversations...

PHILOSOPHY

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime you just might find you get what you need...

Uh...for serious, this is a really long conversation that we can have over beers if you'd like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

April 2015:
I own a land near the Oregon-California border on the I-5 and we welcome one and all to come stay a minute and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains. Hopefully, we will be able to meet a few other Couchsurfer folks, and would love to meet anyone who speaks or is interested in learning French. We also like anyone interested in sustainable/off-grid living. We're nice people, come hang out with us.

March 2014:
I try to post a message in new places I go, I like to meet new people so sometimes I go to events and such.

Update: December 2012

I need adventure friends & couches. I still have all things to camp in your backyard... or another park...or anywhere really.

Let's collaborate.

June 2012:
I'm a bike tourist currently camping at nearly every state park on this beautiful Pacific Coast. I'd enjoy hanging out with some people and a shower (oh showers, sigh)

I am entirely self sufficient, don't really need to be entertained if you don't have the time, and can even sleep in your backyard if you have one...

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm reading Hyperspace

I have nearly 30 days of music from all over the world on my hard drive, but really deep down I'm a classic Rock kinda girl; I can't help it, I blame my father. Though I suppose I could be confused for a hipster, without all the pretenious tastes.

I like movies that are well-done in all genres. Though, I don't really see them that often. We can share my Netflix if you want...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I biked the Pacific West Coast
I saw the Mayan ruins on the sunrise of the end of the world.
I traveled Taiwan with an aboriginal pop sensation.
I started a food forest at an orphanage in the Philippines.
I hitch hiked through Malaysia.
Hitch hiked across Europe while were at it...
ummm... and I've lived in Portland, Oregon, If you know anything about Portland, you'd know I've seend/done quite a few amazing things right there.
