About Me

I'm still very new to travelling so I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do. I'm a student and I'm trying to travel as cheaply as possible. I'm also hoping to make connections with other people so I can learn about the places that I am visiting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am hoping to use it to meet new people as I travel and to eventually be able to host myself. I feel it's important to be independent and to take the opportunity to travel alone but also to share experiences with others too.

Interests

I'm keen on music festivals and being outdoors. I also like yoga, cooking and making things. I knit, crochet, weave and sew but anything creative or practical is good. I like reading too.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is so varied but some favourites are Bombay Bicycle Club, The Black Keys and Matt Corby. Some of my favourite books are The Unbearable Lightness of Being, A Fraction of the Whole, Siddhartha and Down and Out in Paris and London. I haven't seen that many movies but some I enjoyed recently are Her and Celeste and Jesse Forever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I saw a school of dolphins at Myall Lakes National Park in New South Wales. There was a group of maybe 15 and a few came up to the beach to surf the waves as they were breaking just a few metres away.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a student at Leeds University but I've been on exchange at University of Newcastle, Australia. I chose to do this because I wanted the experience of living in a new place rather than just passing through. Obviously it's not possible to do that everywhere but I hope that by Couchsurfing I can get some of that knowledge from the people that I meet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to show others what I know about cooking and I've taught others how to knit, crochet and sew if that interests you. I can share stories and music and book recommendations.

Countries I’ve Visited
