About Me

I'm eager to experience the world and love new encounters. I've moved more times than I can count on my two hands yet still find myself excited by mobility.

I'm an art advocate and creative - I own a large art eco-system in Fort Collins and you can often find me working on costumes. I have strong moral values and seek friendships with individuals who live with integrity. I love getting into deep conversations and often prefer to skip the small talk :).

I believe we strive for happiness and have found that loving, helping others and creating are some of my main means for this contentment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first CS experience was over 6 years ago, traveling with my little brother. I enjoy couch surfing because you make actual connections and leave with new friends. It's nice to be able to share stories, skills, ideas, etc. with people instead of just staying in a sterile hotel.

I've hosted a handful of guests, all of which have been amazing people. Due to living arrangements, I have taken a hiatus from hosting. I've lived in Colorado for over 10 years now, first in Fort Collins, now in Denver. I can show you around Denver and give you tons of recommendations for Fort Collins (which is only about an hour fifteen minutes away)

I've had nothing but good experiences on CS!

Interests

Making things, walking, biking, music, traveling, reading, laughing, dancing, cooking, dreaming, kickboxing, listening, thrifting, experiencing new things - overall, I love to create, discuss, learn, share, and play.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a variety of books and movies from those that offer knowledge to ones with raw, quirky plots. To give you an idea, I'm currently reading "Notes from the Underground" by Fyodor Dostoevsky and "Immortality" by Milan Kundera and recently finished "Witness to the Fire" by Linda Schierse Leondard and my brother's recent screenplay. Also, I've been wildly obsessed with Carl Jung so have been reading tons of literature on his studies.

Some of my movies of choice are Garden State, Amelie, Fight Club, Wristcutters, and pretty much all Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, and Darren Aronofsky films.

As for music, my list of favorites is just too damn long. Recently I've caught myself listening to a lot of Kaytranada, Bronski Beat, LCD Soundsystem, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Anderson .Paak, a variety of world and house beats, The Beatles... always The Beatles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

These things are perhaps better shared over a cup of coffee, or tea, or wine, or good old h2o.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy sharing what I've learned over the 8 years of running an art business, being a creative, etc. as well as travel tips :). I am also ecstatic to learn so please, bestow your wisdom upon me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love giving gifts - usually art that I've acquired or made. I've been collecting art for many years now and love to find pieces that suit each individual!
