ABOUT ME
So we're Paul and Amy.
We met in Bolton 6 years ago (working in a clothes shop) and have been a couple ever since.
Amy's 22 years old and Paul's 24.
We're both into our traveling and whilst we accept we'll never see everything we're determined to give it a good go!
We're very social travelers, we get to talk to each other all the time so we'd rather meet new people and swap stories.
Our first adventure was a month and a bit inter-railing around Europe in 2008. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip and knew that we would do something much bigger once we finished our studies (Amy = International History and Politics. Paul = Clinical Psychology).
We're currently traveling around Asia and the Oceania region and have (assuming our funds hold) a year to enjoy this.
A year didn't feel like enough so to avoid the real world for a little longer we have got a contract to work in a chalet for the 2012/2013 ski season.
Basically we want to experience as much of the world as possible before we depart this mortal coil and we both believe the best way to experience a place is by meeting other people and exploring it together.
So if you know we'll be in the same place at the same time and you want to meet up with us then get in touch. We'd love to meet you and hear about your world and share some of ours with you.
PHILOSOPHY
Paul:
"Don't take life to seriously, you'll never get out alive."
"We are nothing more than the sum of our experiences."
Amy:
"Don't sweat the small stuff."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We're new to CS (though love the concept) and we hope to contribute in the following ways:
1) Sharing our experiences with fellow CSers and offering advice on places we've been.
2) Once we have a place (in which we can place a couch) we plan to host CSers, as this seems like the perfect way to travel (through the stories of others) whilst saving for traveling.
3) Occupy any unused, lonely couches (obviously with permission of the owner).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The only couch surfing experience we have is through that of hosting friends and in turn being hosted.
In that respect we don't have any formal (if there is such a thing) couch surfing experience but we hope to real soon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing we have both done is to give up work and head out into the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
We are both keen chefs and so would be more than willingly to teach people(not promising anything too spectacular). We would obviously love to share our traveling experiences and offer advice for those wishing to visit the countries we have already frequented. As we are both keen sports players we would love to learn/play a local sport. We are interested in learning all about the world around us and this is ever changing during our trip. So to learn something about the culture where we are staying whether it be the language, a past time or local traditions would be a great experience.
