Movies: I don't watch many movies, but Napoleon Dynamite is absolutely brilliant.
Books: Anything written by John Steinbeck. "Grapes of Wrath" and "East of Eden" are my favorites. But I also love "Into the Wild," and I've been really getting into political economic books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was able to get my cat to lose 9 pounds in less than 2 years. If that's not a amazing, I don't know what is.
