About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience and learn as much as I can.
ABOUT ME
My name is Amy. I'm a recent college grad and have just entered the full-time working world! I work at a physician's office performing allergy tests and treating patient's allergy symptoms with immunotherapy (allergy shots).
I have the travel bug in me. After a trip last year to New Zealand, I can't stop thinking about traveling to more places so I can see it all!
I can talk your ear off if you let me. And although I LOVE to joke, I can get into super deep conversations at times too. I love the stimulation of sharing ideas, philosophies, and personal stories with others.
I'm still figuring out what direction I want my life to go, like most people are. I'm debating decisions between going onto grad school, moving up the ladder in my current job, or to travel around and volunteer in global programs that help people. Honestly, I'd love to do it all, but unfortunately, time and money are the biggest obstacles!
PHILOSOPHY
I am not a religious person by any means, but to me, it's not about your religious affiliation. I know that people are capable of being good and that's what I want to be, plain and simple. I just want to be a good person. There is so much satisfaction in helping people and connecting with people. It's why I love to explore new places and people. There is so much you can learn from others, and I just want to constantly improve my understanding of all kinds of people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm making myself available to other couchsurfers that want to meet people in the Hamilton/Cincinnati area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed with a friend when we went to see Band of Horses perform in Nashville, Tennessee, April 2013. It was a blast. We stayed with amazing hosts. In the morning, I went out to the nearest grocery store and made the most delicious parfaits for everyone for breakfast. This has been my only couchsurfing experience so far, and it was such a positive memory. I would love to encounter many more.
Interests
I love running, biking, kayaking, backpacking/hiking, etc. Anything outdoorsy, I'm up for it. I am a big health and fitness nerd too, so I'm always reading articles related to health and wellness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went bungy jumping on the world's very first bungy jump just outside of Queenstown, NZ, in May 2013! The feeling of free falling was incredible (and a tad bit scary!). I went skydiving this May - what a thrill!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you awesome places to check out around the area. Anything from bars/clubs, nature trails/parks/outdoor activities, and what to do for fun/entertainment here.
I am pretty knowledgeable about most things health-related. Of course, I'm not a medical doctor, but I love to give insight about health and wellness. My current job has allowed me to develop expertise on allergies.
Learn: I would love to learn about YOU! Especially if you are musically talented or bilingual. I've always thought it would be neat to learn another language, but I guess I haven't put in the effort to learn anything outside of English.
