ABOUT ME

Without using any 'crossroad' cliches, it's pretty fair to say I'm currently in a life transition period. I recently completed a BA in History, which has consumed most of my life - and a lot of my passion - for the past three years. Now that I've finished, I'm in the process of remembering all the interests I had before they were put aside for academic study.

I love people and I love travel. I know that these two interests are something I want to combine in the future, be it through journalism, the media, travel writing, NGO work or academia. I love discovering new things, personally or through conversation and debate. I take people seriously, but try not to do the same with life.

PHILOSOPHY

It changes from day to day. Often it just disappears altogether.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this stage, I'd love to use couch surfing to enable me to travel more freely, and on an appropriate 'recent undergraduate' budget. I also think it's a great way to meet people you might not otherwise meet, and see places in a way they might not otherwise be seen. When I've set myself up in my own place, I'll definitely get involved in hosting travellers myself.

Writing, about pretty much anything. Reading, as above. My love of travelling is bordering on addiction. People. Strong opinions. African history. Theatre (acting, devising, writing. I'm currently in the process of setting up a theatre company with a couple of friends). Storytelling. Current affairs. Music. Running (sometimes).
