ABOUT ME

I have just returned to Australia from a two month ballet audition trip around parts of Europe.It was a wonderful experience meeting people and enjoying the local sights. All the hosts I stayed with were the most amazing people who shared their local knowledge, culture and most of all friendship. I was lucky enough to be offered a contract with the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich and one in Chemnitz.I will be returning to Munich at the end of August 2010 to take up a one year contract. I currently live with my parents and sister in the center of Melbourne which was right next to the Australian Ballet School. We moved as a family from Mount Gambier, South Australia, to Melbourne when my sister and I auditioned and were accepted into the Ballet School. This year I also completed my final year of secondary school by distance education and received a 95% enter score for university. So I have university as an option open to me. I also have a brother who has finished at university and is on a working holiday in Canada. While I was at the ballet school I had very little spare time but for part of the year manage to work 8 - 10 hours a week. I have been dancing since I was four so it is well and truly a part of my life, however I do try and have a balance by spending time with friends and family.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed in Europe for two months at the beginning of the year and my parents hosted while I was away. As of middle of August 2010 I will be travelling back to Germany. The CS project is a fantastic community in which people can help each other achieve their travel dreams, share their culture and make some wonderful friendships. My parents are prepared to offer travellers a place to stay and their hospitality just as people have done for me. Just a little about my family - My Dad is a retired school pricipal who has gone back to work .75 time as a Physical Education/English teacher in a private school. Mum works as an intergration aide in a primary school and my sister Lauren (22yrs) was also at the Australian Ballet School but due to a injury/illness she had to stop. She has now started some open university study. At this stage my brother Tim (26yrs) is still in Canada on a working holiday but may be home later in the year.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since starting my travels mid January I have couchsurfed with the most amazing and generous people. They have all made me feel very welcome and given me a real insight to their culture. I can't speak highly enough about this wonderful experience.

My life long interest has been dance mainly ballet and contemporary. I spend time socializing with my friends.
I belong to a church youth group.
Also I enjoy reading, going to the gym, walking, theatre, shopping ..........

Snorkled on the Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven wonders of the world. Was part of the Australian Ballet's Dancers Company tour which travelled around Australia performing in cities and regional towns.
