Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
re-exploring the Bay Area and Berkeley!
ABOUT ME
anyone who can supply me with honey, chocolate, a warm bed and clean bathroom gets a gold star in my book! I love rainy days, drinking un petit cafe in French villages, wearing layers, exploring without a care, meeting and making real connections with people. I enjoy thoughtful discussions and lively dinner parties.
my DREAM would be to sleep in one of these one night, so, you know, if you have an extra $300+ lying around.. http://www.etsy.com/listing/96236038/slice-of-pizza-sleeping-bag-w-optional
PHILOSOPHY
live in the moment, absorb everything you can. use a camera, but don't live through the lenses--you'll never remember anything about the images! It's something I struggle with every time I pull out my camera.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
started off in October 2011 to try, have used it during my Europe travels ever since and I love it. I've met so many interesting people and made some friendships that I hope will last long after I'm done couchsurfing. My Europe travels are now done (August 2012, written in September 2012), but thank you again to all who I've met up with or been hosted by! Couldn't have imagined doing my gap year without CS.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, I've been hosted a couple of times, gone to a CS meeting, invited to parties by someone who couldn't host me, and met up with some people through CS. I've really enjoyed meeting and getting to know people in different cities. Also: LYON Couchsurfing hosts are the best, thanks for all the fun I had at FOL 2011!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
organized an event of 2,000 people! Best feeling ever to know that I was able to accomplish such a feat in rally-apathetic San Francisco. www.moving-planet.org
and.... hiked in the Swiss Alps! Lauterbrunnen/Interlaken area. the mountains there are just spectacular, there's nothing like being up high on the cliffs.
MY GAP YEAR SEPT 2011-AUG 2012 nine countries, eight farms, four months in London, three phone numbers, one Swiss winery, one German bakery, an amazing experience I'll cherish for a long, long time.
OH and flying a plane over the San Francisco Bay Area. So awesome to see the Golden Gate Bridge from above, such an incredible feeling.
Teach, Learn, Share
baking! (my chocolate chocolate cookies are amazing), basic editing on photshop/indesign, mending a bit of clothes, making collages, figuring out French grammar.
I want to learn how to cook French food properly! Can anyone help me? Baking skills in exchange.
