Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world, one person at a time.
ABOUT ME
I am a graduate student and adjunct professor of French. I love the French language and culture, and I really enjoy living and studying in New York City. I enjoy trips to museums, seeing plays, eating in diners, walking in Central Park- all of the those typical New York activities. I also enjoy grabbing a beer or a glass of wine at the many bars and pubs in NYC, chatting the night away.
I love to travel, and I am excited to have found this community so that I can travel more, but also to let others enjoy NYC.
PHILOSOPHY
Find something you love, and make it the center of your life. Why should the center of your world be a job that bores you, or a person who doesn't understand you? It's your life, and you are the only one who chooses what you do with it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted in the summer of 2011, and it was awesome. My living situation right now doesn't allow it, unfortunately. I also had my first surfing experiences in August of 2012 in Munich and Berlin, and I had a great time with my hosts!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only surfed on 2 couches, in Munich and Berlin. It was a great experience, getting to chat with my hosts about life, politics, culture. I'm glad I finally got the chance to do some surfing.
Interests
I like old movies, Terry Pratchett novels, karaoke, and trying new restaurants with new cuisines as frequently as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like old movies, musicals, comedies, sometimes dramas. I read a lot about a lot. I like to read fiction, history, social science, and books about mathematics. I don't pay attention to what is going on in music too much, but I love Rufus Wainwright and anything recorded for the TV show GLEE.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I jumped off of a mud covered cliff on the banks of the Gave de Pau in France one summer, even though I was terribly afraid of slipping in the mud and smashing my skull on the way down.
Teach, Learn, Share
Sometimes it is worth sitting through the so-so gnocchi with tomato basil sauce to get to the best tiramisu you've ever had in your life. If you are interested in such a tiramisu, I suggest La Gioconda on East 53rd St. between 2nd and 3rd Aves in Manhattan.
