About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make each day an adventure

ABOUT ME

I'm Amy! (I travel with my boyfriend Nathan). At 25, I left my job to follow my dream of backpacking Europe. I spent two months travelling with my best friend Ryan, and had the time of my life. It was incredible to wake up each morning with no agenda but adventure. We saw new, amazing sights, met the most unique and crazy people, and grew as humans through rich and meaningful experience.

I wanted to travel again, so I spent the next year studying in Scotland to obtain my Master's degree. It was an incredible experience---so rewarding to be able to spend that much time in the UK. Scotland is so beautiful.

Now my boyfriend and I are heading to Australia for a year to travel and work using Working Holiday Visas! We can't wait to get started. We'll be heading east, starting in Western Australia. We run a travel blog called Two Drifters, which can be found at www.twodriftersphoto.com. If we stay with you, you're sure to become part of our story! :)

PHILOSOPHY

Good music must always be a part of my life. I play guitar and sing, and listen to music constantly. I appreciate a love of music in other people.
I believe in living passionately, and not being afraid to be emotional or sentimental. It is OK to be exuberantly happy!!

Music, Movies, and Books

the film Almost Famous is my all-time favorite. It's about music and a time period in which I would have loved to live.
books: On the Road- Jack Kerouac, The Historian- Elizabeth Kostova, The Joy Luck Club- Amy Tan, Outlander- Diana Gabaldon, The Alchemist- Paolo Coehlo

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Highlands of Scotland are the most beautiful place I've been---seeming to be still stuck in prehistoric times.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love talking about religion and morality. Every single individual has a unique view, and I love hearing various perspectives. This kind of discussion gets to the core of who people are.
