Overview
About Me
I'm friendly and outgoing, liberal and open minded, spontaneous and a little bit crazy, and people generally describe me as fun to be around.
I love to travel, partly due to the fact that I love to eat new foods... I really do spend 80% of my time thinking about food. It's my goal in life to see as much of the world as possible. I'd love to do this whilst meeting people because what better way to get to know a country than to hang out with the people that live there?
I'm a wheelchair user (when I'm outside, I walk indoors) and for a long time I thought this would mean that I would never get to achieve my goal of seeing the world (or at least some of it!) As it turns out, with the help of some incredible friends with unwavering patience, a positive attitude and a lot of bum shuffling I have managed to see quite a few places and have more plans on the horizon. I write a blog specifically about travelling with a disability, showing the funny and sometimes difficult challenges it can bring, but hopefully proving that disability doesn't have to hold you back. My long term aim is to turn this in to something bigger/profitable. If you want to check it out you can, it'll probably give you a better idea of who I am than this little about me box! www.hotwheelsgoes.com
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I absolutely love to travel and think that the travelling experience can only be made better by meeting new people. I don't just want to be 'a tourist' - I want to see the world for real and make new friends that can teach me about their culture and way of life.
In September 2015 I will be travelling to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Japan for 3 months with the friend in my profile picture. I would love to meet people across these countries and be shown the local way of life.
In the lead up to me going away (end of September) I would love to meet people from the countries I'm visiting. Unfortunately at the moment I'm unable to host but I can show you round London from the point of a local.

Teach, Learn, Share
I have a photography degree, so if you want to learn how to take that camera off manual mode I can teach you that with an excellent bath tub analogy.
I'm attempting to learn Mandarin, although I only just started and speaking other languages makes me nervous!

If you hang out with me you'll get a crash course in sarcasm and dry English humour!
I'm also happy to cook you a meal and tell you funny stories all night, whilst listening to yours.
