About Me

I'm an energetic, creative and positive adventurer. I play outside daily, craft often and live joyfully. I'm a foodie, and am passionate about food security and nutrition as it relates to the health of humans and the planet. My job is outpost nursing in a tiny community at the end of a dirt road in Northern Canada; and in addition to the primary perk of promoting health and wellbeing, I also get oodles of time off to travel and explore. Life is good.
My background is in Kinesiology, and I am a stretch therapist, personal trainer, fitness instructor, yoga instructor and nutritionist... and happy to trade morning yoga sessions ect for a couch.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a joyful journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy hosting and have had the opportunity to meet some interesting, vibrant people through CS. I also enjoy traveling in a more economic way that facilitates connecting with local people.

Interests

I'm an outdoor enthusiast: hiking, skiing and paddling to name a few. I'm happiest in the bush with twigs in my hair, breaking trail with my snowshoes.
Crafter, that's me. I knit, paint, sew, do woodworking and a myriad of other creative things with my hands.
I'm also a dancer, and am particularly interested in ethnic dance. I studies Polynesian dance for 12 years, in addition to some flamenco, afro-cuban, salsa, belly dance, ballroom and swing.
