About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I looove to travel and am out to conquer! Ive backpacked through 20 countries (even spent two full years in Guatemala) and have road-tripped though most of the States. I LOVE exploring and want to come see your area! I am currently exploring New England!

ABOUT ME

30 years old and loving life. I love traveling, exploring, hiking and backpacking, scuba diving, salsa dancing, road tripping, gazing at maps all day and dreaming, drinking coffee and yerba mate (not at the same time, too much caffeine), oh and mountain biking. I love vegetable gardening but am gone too much to commit to it... a goal for later I guess. :) Id like to get INTO... rock climbing, road biking, and guitar and piano.

PHILOSOPHY

The purpose of life is to live it. To get your hands and knees dirty. To be thankful for the gift of life we've been given, to explore, and to follow your heart to the next adventure... whatever that may be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Im new to the site! Ive done so much traveling, and have hosted people who are a part of couchsurfing, but am building up my stories starting now!

Interests

Wow... I kinda blabbed about myself already. LOL. I will mention that Im a nerd for outdoors jobs. :) I used to be a backpacking guide in Guatemala (that was volunteering actually), a tour guide in Yellowstone National Park for 2.5 years, a zipline guide in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of Asheville, NC, and am now a Teen Wilderness Adventure Instructor in the Berkshire Mountains of western Mass. Ill be unemployed as of August 20th, when I plan to cruise around the Northeast and explore like crazy!

Music, Movies, and Books

Khaled Hosseini, the author who wrote The Kite Runner. He is the greatest. Read his three books, The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, and And The Mountains Echoed.
I love inspiring, adventure books too like Into the Wild and Into Thin Air. (I guess that implies I like Jon Krakauer!)

Books are all about balance though. Cant read all the same stuff. Im also reading the Harry Potter series for the first time. (Dont kill me!) On book #4!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed an active volcano and stood in its crater (in Guatemala, with a group of friends) and then bailed when we felt the tremors of the next upcoming eruption! It blew as we descended the mountain. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

If youre visiting Seattle, I can teach you lots of history the area, its culture, its geography, and where to see/do lots of cool and exciting things!
I can talk your ear off about international traveling, and perhaps even cooking from scratch. :)
I want to learn the history of your area! I LOVE history!
