About Me
I was on Couchsurfing years ago when I lived on Maui, and loved meeting people from all over the world. I didn't surf much then, only hosted. I now live in Southern Oregon, and I am recreating my profile!
Me?
I am a lover of truth and authenticity. Integrity and respect are big for me, and I love having conversations about real issues (the ones we have control over). I am not all seriousness though. I like to get goofy.
I am a dancer. Many years ago, I studied ballet in the bay area. It was my life. I spent many years not fostering this part of me, and I am in the beginnings of bringing it back into my life. I have been delving into partner dances for over a year now (tango, salsa, bachata, west coast swing), but I also year to move my body fully, independent of a partner, so I am taking ballet and modern again.
I am the mother of a young adult, and looking at an empty nest soon, so also thinking about where I want to move next.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have already started exploring areas I may want to live in and dance in. It gets expensive doing this on a regular basis, and I don't really get the chance to meet people that share my interests. I am hoping that by opening up my doors and also allowing myself to be hosted in others' homes, that I will bring in new friendships that support my love of dance and exploration.
I want to share also what I am NOT on here for. I am not on here to date guys, nor am I interested in hookups. I am cautious about who I stay with. If I express my concerns or ask questions, and get defensiveness as a reaction, it's clear to me that my vulnerability as a lone female traveller is not respected, and I will gracefully decline the offer.
